Delta’s revamped wine program brings new selections on board

Delta Airlines has recently revamped its wine program, adding 17 high-quality wines to its in-flight menu that rotates seasonally until August of the next year. Available in all classes of service, the revamped program offers a variety of flavors to choose from, allowing customers to turn their in-flight meals into a fine-dining experience.

Delta’s wine program criteria went beyond just a wine’s finish, focusing on partnering with brands that share Delta’s values. The final selections reflect the diverse community of the winegrowing world and lead their industry in sustainability practices. Delta’s partnership with world-renowned Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson helped curate a wine list that is elevated, balanced, diverse, and delicious.

The extensive vetting process saw hundreds of contenders being narrowed down to the final selection. What makes Delta’s wine program unique is the fact that each wine is chosen not only for its taste but also for its ability to taste good at 35,000 feet where taste buds are dulled, and different flavors are accentuated.

Robinson explains that a good wine makes good food taste even better, and that’s especially true at altitude where you don’t have as much moisture and aroma concentration. Wines with vibrant acidity and punchy fruit and aromatics keep your taste buds active and help bring out the flavors of food.

Here’s a look at what customers in each cabin can expect:

  • Delta One: Delta’s most premium cabin will feature the highest number of premium wines ever offered onboard (for more details on new selections, see below). Delta One customers can expect a selection of two red wines, two white wines, rosé, champagne and port – featured on our printed menu that customers can peruse in-flight. For the first time ever, a rosé offering will be available year-round.
  • First Class: First Class customers will enjoy a variety of premium selections, such as Pebble Lane Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, with 750ml pour bottle options – a returning fan favorite. First Class customers can expect to choose from one white and one red wine options.
  • Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort Plus, and Main Cabin: New additions like Casa Saulita Chenin Chardonnay will add delicious flavor to international routes, while domestic routes will continue to enjoy some of the diverse and women-run wine brands (Imagery Estate, Une Femme) customers already know and love.

Delta’s rotational wine program means that customers can look forward to seasonal updates to the menu. The program ensures that each wine complements Delta’s best-in-class offerings. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur, amateur, or enthusiast, Delta’s new wine selection has a little bit of everything.

Delta is committed to delivering an elevated customer experience, and their revamped wine program is just one example of their commitment to excellence. Delta’s partners that reflect the diverse community of the winegrowing world and lead their industry in sustainability practices ensure that customers can enjoy their favorite wines while advocating for a better future. With the new wine program in place, Delta passengers can now wine, dine, and recline in the air.

Delta extends middle seat blocking through April 2021; Only U.S. airline to continue providing more space for customers

Delta is continuing its industry-leading commitment to provide more space on board as the only U.S. airline to block middle seats and limit capacity on all flights departing through April 30, 2021, ensuring customers can confidently plan and book their spring travel. The airline has consistently listened to its customers and prioritized their preferences by offering more space through seat blocking and reducing the overall number of people on board each flight since April 2020. “We want our customers to have complete confidence when travelling with Delta, and they continue to tell us that more space provides more peace of mind,” said Bill Lentsch, Chief Customer Experience Officer. “We’ll continue to reassess seat blocking in relation to case transmission and vaccination rates, while bringing back products and services in ways that instil trust in the health and safety of everyone on board – that will always be Delta’s priority.” In addition to extending seat blocking commi...

Rivalry on dating applications will be firm in 2021, so you will have been behaving as well as possible  You must behave as well as possible, and with regards to progress on dating applications, what you don't do is similarly. At this point you should realize that nobody needs to see you holding your mom or father..lol  Exchanging numbers too early There are no firm principles directing when and how to take a discussion off an application, yet endeavouring to do so too soon can work to your impediment. No, you would prefer not to stall out in an interminable to and fro on the application where your talk will, at last, become mixed up in the middle of all your different matches, yet fatigued swipers might be hesitant to add one more "Matt Badoo" or "Possibly: Matt" to their telephone. As I would see it, numbers ought to be traded when you are prepared to make arrangements to meet face to face. Beginning discussions with "hello"   This won't go anypl...

More vapers are quitting smoking, survey shows

More than half of the nearly-three million people in Great Britain who vape are ex-smokers, a new survey suggests. For the first time, more than half of the current 2.9 million e-cigarette users have since given up smoking, Action on Smoking and Health (Ash) said in its annual survey into the use of electronic cigarettes and vapourisers. Many vapers still "dual-use" combustible and electronic cigarettes, which means they are still exposed to the cancer causing substances in tobacco smoke, the study added. Ann McNeill, professor of tobacco addiction at King's College London, said: "This year's Ash survey finds that around 1.5 million vapers are ex-smokers, for the first time a larger number than those who continue to smoke.
